Inside CCL
In our six classrooms, there’s space for exploration,
self-discovery, laughter and love.
We may be drawing pictures of the solar system, or writing
and illustrating books about our families.
We might take a walk to the meadow to catch tadpoles, or call
on the fire station to sit on the ladder truck.
Maybe we just want to cuddle on a teacher’s lap, or giggle
with a friend during rest time.
Each day provides the pleasure of new interests and the challenge
of new questions.
Come visit us and find out!
Goals for the Pink Room
Self Expression and Following Directions: We will encourage
your child to express his/her words to teachers as well as to other children. We will assist your child in expressing his/her
feelings openly and productively. For example: “I need milk please.” “He hurt me.” “It’s
not okay.” “May I have it?” “When you are done, may I have a turn?”
We will also encourage your child to be respectful to other
children’s feelings. To give hugs, be friendly, help each other, and make wonderful friendships. We show your child
how to get along with words and not hands.
We will develop listening skills along with following directions
of every day routines. Your child will be assisted an re-directed in order to adapt to these. We will also do the same with
any rules of safety.
We will make your child’s learning experience in the
Pink Room fun, loving, nurturing, stimulating, safe and wonderful.

the Yellow Room children to be creative and have fun! We hope to achieve these goals by providing various activities in the
following areas: art, science, math, and language.
Art The children are given open-ended materials
such as paint, glue, paper, crayons, markers, and scissors. The children are encouraged to be creative and expressive in their
artwork.
Science The children use identification,
classification, measurement, and water/sand play. They can experience physical changes through baking as well as changes in
colors through art projects.
Math The children experience number concepts
through matching, grouping, sorting, classifying, and one-to-one correspondence when counting. They can also experience measurement
through baking activities and weight through blocks and art projects.
Language The children are encouraged throughout
the day to expand on their language skills through conversations with their friends, families, and teachers. They are encouraged
